Review: "Pixmantec has released their first commercial product: RawShooter Premium 2006 (RSP). The software keeps all the functionality of RSE with some new, useful features. RSP (like RSE) uses a fast raw file browser. RSP creates preview files, which allow you to preview all images full screen and browse quickly through hundreds of images. While browsing you can rank images (1-3), mark images for deletion, perform image corrections (white balance, tonality, noise reduction, color tuning), and process raw files in the background. All corrections are sticky, and a new feature called "Snapshots" even allows multiple settings for one image.

RawShooter Premium 2006 is a new, serious raw converter. It combines excellent image quality with a very modern workflow. Unfortunately, RSP is not available for the Mac platform, and we don't see this happening in the near future. If you work with raw files (and there are many good reasons to do so) you owe it to yourself to give RSP a shot. It's available as a 15-day free trial at www.pixmantec.com.
