Reader Score: 8.00 (out of 10)
Review (Summary): "The Ricoh Caplio 500SE is a unique rugged digital camera and features an 8 megapixel sensor, a 2.5" screen, a wide angle 3x optical zoom lens. The camera's main feature or skill is the ability to withstand the elements, it has been designed so that you can use it wearing gloves, and will withstand being dropped from 1 meter, is waterproof up to 1 meter (for 30minutes), can withstand temperatures as cold as -10C, and is dust-proof and sand-proof.

The lens produces sharp, crisp, image with no noticeable corner softness and little to no purple fringing. The camera is easy to use and the adjust button makes it easy to change settings, although there are few scene modes. ..."
